type='text'>pick yourself up, dust yourself off, start all over again!</title><content type='html'>it can be so frustrating to have to rip out a project all together and start fresh.&lt;br /&gt;this happened with my pokemon scarf, which i had to entirely re-start last night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;the up side is that my re-do has much better tension and color-carrying (not sure what to call this) and the project has benefited from my earlier mistake!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PS- my 3 year old girl likes to pretend she's a cat and play with my skeins of yarn while working- SO helpful!&lt;div type='text'>pokemon scarf</title><content type='html'>i've started knitting a pokemon scarf for my nephew.&lt;br /&gt;well, it just has a pinkachu tail on the ends-- ambiguous enough that if he decides pokemon is a bunch of crap before the winter is out, the scarf could still be just a cool weapon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;if i pull this off correctly, it will be the first time i have knitted a pattern of my own creation from scratch (and a little help from an online chart).  wish me luck.  i've got 38 sts in 10 rows so far on #9 needles...&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img type='text'>how young is too young?</title><content type='html'>my almost-4-year-old wants to knit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;i am afraid at her age (though her fine motor skills are great) this would
