my almost-4-year-old wants to knit.
i am afraid at her age (though her fine motor skills are great) this would only be an exercise in frustration for her.
i'd be interested to know what age is "old enough" to learn knitting? it is sweet that my girl just wants to "help mommy with her art-ject"!

Have you tried finger knitting? Or that little 4-pronged thing that lets kids knit snakes (or a really really skinny scarfin the round? My little brother was on me about learning to knit, but while we were in the craft store looking for needles I talked him into the finger thingy. He made his snake, was very proud, and never mentioned knitting again.
